Enrovit-10

Enrovit-10 is an antibiotic that belongs to the fluoroquinolones group, a class of antibiotics known to be highly effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Enrovit-10 is characterized by its ability to inhibit bacterial DNA enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thus preventing bacterial cell proliferation and death.

It is used to treat many bacterial infections in animals including:

Respiratory system infections, digestive system infections, urinary system infections, skin infections, wounds, and reproductive system infections.

It is mainly excreted through the kidneys and part of it is excreted through the bile.

Description

Each 1 ml contains:

Enrofloxacin (as Enrofloxacin lactate)              100 mg

Cattle:

– it is indicated for diseases of the respiratory and alimentary tract of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin (e.g. pasturellosis, mycoplasmosis, coli-bacillosis, coli-septicaemia and salmonellosis) and secondary bacterial infections subsequent to viral infections (e.g. viral pneumonia).

– Treatment of local signs (inflammation, milk quality and yield) associated with peracute/ acute mastitis in lactating dairy cattle caused by E. coli, where herd history and previous sensitivity testing indicate Enrofloxacin as the drug of choice.

Dogs and Cats:

 – Enrovet-10 is indicated for the treatment of urinary tract infection and gastrointestinal infections, and wounds.

To ensure correct dosage, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing.

Cattle:

– For respiratory and alimentary infections in cattle and secondary bacterial infections, administer by subcutaneous injection 2.5 mg enrofloxacin per kg bodyweight daily by subcutaneous injection for 3 days (2.5 ml per 100 kg bodyweight). This rate may be doubled to 5 mg/kg bodyweight (5 ml per 100 kg) for 5 days for salmonellosis and complicated respiratory disease.

– Not more than 10 ml should be administered at any one subcutaneous injection site.

– For E. coli mastitis, administer by slow intravenous injection 5.0 mg Enrofloxacin per kg bodyweight (5 ml per 100 kg bodyweight) daily for 2 days.

 

Dogs and Cats:

-5 mg Enrofloxacin per kg bodyweight (0.25 ml / 5 kg bodyweight) for 5 days.

– Cattle: Subcutaneous Use.

– Meat and offal:10 days.

– Milk:84 hours (7 milkings).

 

– Cattle:  Intravenous Use.

– Meat and offal:4 days.

– Milk:72 hours (6 milkings).

Store in a dry and dark place at temperature below 30˚C.
